Just got pictures from Sam's wedding out in New York...  I especially liked this one; thanks to his amazing photographer...  what i learned from Sam's wedding; don't skimp on a cheap photographer:)   i'm going to purchase some of the shots and use them for my publicity photos...  and i guess i could also use it as a plug for my fashion designer aunt who hooks me up w/ the latest in what to wear

dave and lindsay...  nice guitar shot

...my favorite picture of sam:)

The Halloween concert was SO MUCH FUN!  i had never seen so many cute kids dressed up in costume... 2 asian mighty morphin power rangers in the front row w/ their mom and dad that i couldn't stop staring at.  A handfull of little kids that wanted my autograph after the concert:)  ...for the first time i can honestly say that the thought of kids actually excited me.

I dressed up as Storm from X-men.  Full black garb, knee high boots, cape, and white hair just like Hallie's. Walked onto stage and got so nervous i forgot i was supposed to bow FIRST to the audience...  THEN face the orchestra to notion for tuning.  i freaked out...  so i walked on stage... clapping got me all excited... turned my back to the audience and got quite confused... was mouthing, "am i supposed to bow?!?"... entire orchestra's laughing at me.  turn around quickly for a very unprofessional bow and well... yea...  i don't think i'll ever hear the end of that one...

luckily my solo went quite well.  What a thrill! :)  2 more kiddie concerts monday.  Maybe i will look for white contacts and ask to run onto stage from the back of the hall for the full effect of Storm and freak the kiddies.  we will see!

looking for something to do this halloween weekend?

Saturday, October 28th 3pm at the Symphony Center

Hallowed Haunts, Civic Orchestra

with yours truly sitting Concermaster.  i'll be playing a solo AND dressed up in full costume.  in fact, every single one of us will be dressed up on stage.

Selections include Pirates of the Carribean, Flinstones, the Jetsons, and a mish-mosh of great Halloween music.

...not your typical classical concert!

results are in...

on another note:
me and my high standards and being too picky and being scared of commitment... so (call me crazy) i seriously think God was getting a good laugh bringing me to Chicago to start over again.  new place, new people, new school, new perspective on life and the little things that fulfill a person...

i'm trying to keep a very open mind about things.  so yea.  i guess you can say it's quite interesting and exciting...  and at the same time it scares the living crap out of me.  there are days (like last night) where you're surrounded by outgoing people, it's the over-anticipated event of the week, it's not quite midnight yet, everyone's vain as ever dressed to the T... things haven't even officially started... and all you want to do is go home, curl up in bed, and go to sleep...  ...and so you do...  to wake up the next morning and think, "what was i thinking?"

i felt like sleeping.  so i did...   do i need to apologize?

big d

new city...  new start...  new haircut...  and well... i realized AFTERWARDS that short hair actually takes 15 minutes longer to "do" every morning which i would MUCH rather prefer having spent sleeping... so i'm painstakingly growing it out again...  you would think i would've learned the first time around...
